FIRE ALARM
A conventional Microprocessor fire alarm control panel (FACP) is a core component of a fire alarm system, designed to monitor and control fire detection devices within a building. A fire alarm control panel (FACP) is the central component of a fire alarm system. It’s designed to monitor inputs from fire detection devices and, upon detecting signs of fire or smoke, initiates appropriate responses to alert occupants and authorities through Auto dialer. FACP divides a building into zones, each connected to a circuit where fire detection devices (smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual pullstations) are installed. Each zone represents a specific area of the building. It constantly monitors these zones for any signs of fire or smoke. When a detector is triggered, it identifies the specific zone where the alarm originated, providing crucial information for responders. When a detector is activated, the FACP triggers audio and visual alarms, typically sirens, bells, or strobe lights. FACP often includes manual controls, allowing authorized individuals to silence alarms or perform system tests to ensure proper functioning to ensure continuous operation during power outages, fire alarm control panels usually have a backup power source, commonly in the form of batteries. Conventional fire alarm control panels are simple in their operation, suitable for smaller buildings or installations where a more straight forward alarm system suffices.

- Low battery, Battery Fail visual warning with audible tone.
